It's hard for me to remember Poppy Mountain last year but I was the music vendor that was selling your cd's in my booth. We were setup at the MACC show and a big gentlamen lemped in my booth and I ask him what had happened and he said Korea. So me being retired military we began to talk and your name came up. I told him that you guys are the best band out there. I told him that I burnt your cd up in my cd player in the truck. I think his name was big Tom but not sure. He explained to me that he was like a father to you and yours. He told me to come over and see ya'all play there in Connersville some time and stop by his home to bullshit. Great Guy!! I was wondering were you might be playing? I still think you and your band is the best thing goin. I try to promote your band everywhere we go. We've setup at over 35 festivals this year. Keep up the great work and hope to see ya soon. God Bless.

Hey Wes,
Many thanks for sending us a copy of your latest release. You all have selected some great songs and sing them with some real gusto and energy. This is definitely the real thing--some tough-edged bluegrass with some soaring harmonies and fine picking. I especially enjoyed "Sorry White Trash," "Old Rube," "Hurts More to Stay" and "Heartbroke and Lonesome."
Thanks again for the fine tunes. I'll be doing my best to get the word out in Nashville and in our other syndicated locations.

Dear Wes,
Greetings to you and band from far-away Bendigo, Victoria, Australia.
I host two shows per week on worldwidebluegrass.com, yesterday celebrating my 100th show. I have just come across your "Hurts More To Stay" album. This is indeed a very impressive album; congratulations to you all. I will be playing from it this coming Monday night April 28th between eleven p.m. and midnight if you and anyone you know gets a chance to tune in.
Congratulations again on your new album.

Your music is fantastic! Heard "Back to Hancock County" on Pandora Radio, and I'm from Hamblen County (Morristown, TN) which is only about an hour away. It was really funny to hear the name while I was studying for college finals! Thanks for the good pickin'.
Marvin O'Dell, Heartland Public Radio
April 8, 2008
Thanks for sending Wes Miller's "Hurts More to Stay." This is pure country and bluegrass music at its best. It has pain you can actually feel, and Wes's vocal style and phrasing drives the hurt even deeper. The CD is aptly titled. Not that everyone wants to experience this kind of hurt; but the truth is that many do. And there's some mystical way in which pain helps cancel pain. With all of contemporary country music's "feel good" blasting out over the airwaves, it's good to know that someone still knows how to relate to the common man. "Hurts More to Stay" is the best antidote to misery I've heard in a long time.
I hope you get a lot of recognition for this one and sell a million of 'em.
